Students in the Undergraduate Program

A list of graduates of the Brock Physics Program is given in Appendix 4.

The first students to earn a pass degree in the department were James Hiscott, George Kalnins, John McCutcheon, Les Molnar and Andrew Walach in 1969.

The first honors Physics Graduate was Skip Poehlman, a transfer student from Niagara University, New York, in 1969. (Skip is currently an Associate Professor of Computing and Software at McMaster University)

The first students to complete the full four-year Physics Honors program were Leslie Wilk and Don Retallak who graduated in 1970.

1966/67
The first students in year two of the Physics Program can be seen from John Black's markbook for the required course Physics 300, Electricity and Magnetism. The students were Gerry Dobruk (1970, Math/Phys Pass), Hans Messinger (1970, Econ Hon), John Ord, Dave Mitchell (1970, Chem/Phys Pass) and Andrew Wallach (1970, Phys Pass).

Some of the early students in the third year of the program can be seen from John Moore's markbook for Physics 350 and/or Physics 360.

1967/68

1968/69

1970/71
Lloyd Cimprich (1972, Phys Hon), Mike Lessard, Ronald Marlowe, Garnet Ord (1972, Phys Hon) and Klaas Westera (1972 Phys Hon.)
