A new international faculty member in the Physics Department

The Department of Physics welcomes its new Adjunct Professor, Dr.Prof.Reinhard Kremer,
of the Max Planck Institute of Solid State Research in Stuttgart, Germany

Dr. Reinhard Kremer (back row, second from left), an internationally renowned senior scientist from Max Planck Institute of Solid State Research in Stuttgart, Germany, has joined the Physics Department as an adjunct professor. Dr. Kremer is the author/coauthor of more than three hundred papers, monographs, and review articles in the field of solid state physics and chemistry and holds several patents to his name. As an adjunct faculty member Dr. Kremer will supervise/co-supervise the research of both undergraduate and graduate students in the Physics Department, teach occasional graduate courses during his summer visits to Brock and continue his collaboration with Prof. Razavi. Two members of the Physics Department, Feri Razavi and S.K. Bose, have had long- standing collaboration with scientists from this institute in Germany. Dr. Kremer's appointment will further strengthen Brock's ties with this research institute, which is considered a world leader in the field of condensed matter physics.
