How to get here

Brock University is about 1h15min drive from either the Toronto airport, or from TO downtown, if there is no traffic.

Take QEW to Niagara. The only tricky place is in Burlington, where for the first time the directions to Hamilton and to Niagara Falls separate. You should exit left to Niagara Falls. Keep going on QEW until the intersection with the 406, taking the exit (to Pt. Colborne). Exactly 10km later there is a big shopping plaza on your right; get ready and exit in another 500m to St. David's Road West. The Four Points Sheraton, an all-suites hotel, is on your left, a landfill site on your right. Continue through the traffic light (another 500m) into the Brock Parking lot and follow the signs for Visitors/Guest Parking. Walk toward the tower; of the several interconnected buildings on your right go into the last one (Block B, blue and white diagonal stripes). The Physics office is on the ground floor, B210.

Driving from the USA

Crossing the border at Fort Erie, follow QEW in the direction of Toronto until the intersection with 406, then follow the same directions as above.

Crossing the border at NF, follow 405 until the intersection with QEW, then follow the same directions as above.

Alternate routes from the USA

A shorter route is to take the Thorold Stone Road exit off QEW, it is the first exit after Niagara Falls exits. Turn left and go over the QEW, and continue straight for about 8km. Go through the tunnel under the Welland canal, and soon after exit to St. David's Road West.

If you miss the Thorold Stone Road exit, you get another chance to take a shortcut, if you take the Glendale Avenue exit, just before the St. Catharines' Skyway. Turn left at the stop sign, and you are on Glendale, although it does not look like a city street yet. First you go through Niagara College, Niagara-on-the-Green residential development, then an industrial area: a GM factory, a draw bridge across the Welland Canal (bear left at the traffic light immediately after the bridge, but follow the main road - the right lane), a metal junkyard and a lumberyard (on your left), across two sets of rail tracks. Houses crop up on both sides, go through one stop sign. Continue on Glendale. Three traffic lights later you go under the 406, three more traffic lights take you through the shopping mall area (Pen Centre on your right). In a couple of km's turn left at the traffic light, onto Glenridge. Go up the escarpment and Brock opens up on your right. Turn right at the second set of lights (the first one is a service entrance) to get to the main parking lots (see above).

Shaves off about 6-7 minutes, unless you have to wait for a ship to pass under the bridge.

Driving from Niagara Falls

Find your way to Thorold Stone Road until it ends, turn to St. David's Road West, then as above.
