Two blocks of mass m1=2.4 kg, and m2=1.2 kg are in
contact on a frictionless table. Block m2 sits to the
right of block m1. A horizontal force to the right of
F=3.2 N is applied to block m1. Find:
- the acceleration of the system, and
- the `force of contact' between the blocks.
- What is the force of contact if the horizontal force F is applied
towards the left to block m2 instead of block m1?
- Does it make sense that the contact force is not the same in
(b) and (c)?
