Linux system used

All of my systems run Slackware Linux, currently at v.7.0 (kernel 2.2.13). My installation notes and configuration scripts are therefore somewhat Slackware-specific. Of course, this should not make this Mini-HOWTO useless to RedHat users, but it will be your responsibility to know where the system initialization scripts are on your system, if you want your VoIP to start automatically at boot time.
