As part of a contractual obligation to the Ministry of Education we have produced a CD ROM on the Electromagnetic Spectrum and Wave-Particle Duality. Computer simulations are used to show how various parts of the electromagnetic spectrum are produced. Videosnippets and animation are used to illustrate how various parts of the electromagnetic spectrum are used in our High-Tech society. Wave-Particle Duality is explored through the use of animation and videosnippets. This CD ROM should be made available to Ontario schools. Portions of the CD ROM will be demonstrated.

There are now 60 nations taking part in the event and this summer, Canada is playing host for the event. The `97 IPhO will be held in Sudbury from July 13-21 with Science North and Laurentian University playing Co-Hosts. The event is organized by the Canadian Chemistry and Physics Olympiad, a non-profit foundation based out of the Toronto French School. The talk will outline what goes into organizing the IPhO and what will be going on in Sudbury this July.
