X-rays continue to be critically important in medical practice. Modern electronic imaging detectors promise to further increase their utility with improved image quality, convienence and range of use, and with readiness for computer applications.
Dr.Blevis has received his training in Physics at the University of Toronto (B.Sc.), University of British Columbia (M.Sc.), and at CERN in Geneva while associated with the Weizmann Institute of Science, Rehovot, Israel. His research has been in the areas of lasers and beta decay, quark deconfinement, and the Solar Neutrino Problem while a postdoctoral fellow at the Canadian SNO facility in Sudbury. He has been with the Sunnybrook Health Science Center since 1995.
