Weekly Homework and Quizzes
Homework assignments will be posted on Brightspace. Questions cover the material assigned during the lectures of
the preceding 2 weeks.
- The weekly quiz for the first week (date: Sep 8) will not count towards your final grade. This quiz will serve as a refresher on mathematical preliminaries -- algebra, trigonometry, etc. Feel free to ask questions with the instructor and the TA's during this quiz.
- All subsequent quizzes will be evaluated. The best 10 out of 11 quizzes will count towards the final grade.
A strategy for improving your Quiz performance ( Practice Makes Perfect!): Solve the follow-up questions and problems at the end of the section. Working on solving various problems makes you develop the ability to plan out a solution for any problem within a reasonable timeframe. We will discuss best practices for problem solving at various points during the lectures.
The link below contains the answers for odd-numbered problems from the textbook. You could test yourself with the even-numbered ones. In case of any doubts or difficulties, you can always approach the instructor or the TA's.
