Your first line of defence is your tutorial leaders. You will see them weekly, and the goal of the tutorials is to get you started on the homework, whether from the workbooks or from the end-of-chapter exercises from the main textbook. A percentage of your tutorial grade is assigned to the attendance/participation in the tutorials, so do not skip them. The tutorials are not only places to get started on the week's homework, but also a place to hand in last week's completed homework and to ask for clarification.
Help Desk operates in MC H200 (the lab of PHYS 1P93), daily 9:30-11:30. This is the place to bring those homework questions that remain unclear even after the tutorial and/or after asking the instructor in class, and to get some individual or small-group attention.
Senior students have been known to run informal problem-solving tutorials for the members of BURPS, usually in MC B203 during lunch hours.
Course description, overheads presented in class, weekly tutorial problem assignments (i.e., homework), and some supplementary materials is made available on-line via the Web server of the Physics Department, http://www.physics.brocku.ca/.
